At Casa de Viana do Alentejo, we found a hidden gem right across the entrance of the enchanting walled castle complex. The charm of this lovingly restored 300-year-old building enveloped us the moment we arrived. With our group of seven, the spacious accommodations allowed for privacy, each room beautifully appointed with wrought iron beds and hardwood floors. We loved gathering on the outdoor terrace in the evening, basking in the stunning views and enjoying the tranquility of the area-absolutely delightful after a day of exploring. The homemade breakfast was a highlight, allowing us to indulge in fresh bakery bread and regional sweets, coupled with the owners' warm hospitality and excellent recommendations for local dining. If you're seeking a perfect blend of history, comfort, and a taste of local culture, this is the spot. It was certainly a romantic escape worth the journey!
